Relais pour la vie- Waterloo 2026
-

24 hours walking together.
24 hours to show that no one faces cancer alone.Relay for Life is a unique solidarity event that takes place over 24 continuous hours. The concept is simple yet powerful: teams take turns walking around the track so that at least one person is always on the move, day and night. This continuous presence symbolises the ongoing fight against cancer and the unwavering support for everyone affected by the disease.
In Waterloo, walkers, runners, volunteers, survivors, families, friends and visitors gather to share a powerful and meaningful experience. The Survivors, people who have or have had cancer, are the true guests of honour and open the event with a symbolic lap of the track.
Three key moments shape these 24 hours:
- The Opening Ceremony at 2 p.m., filled with hope and energy.
- The Candlelight Ceremony at 10:30 p.m., a moving moment where each flame honours loved ones, offers comfort and celebrates life.
- The Closing Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sunday, including the announcement of the total amount raised.
Throughout the weekend: activities for all ages, live performances, inspiring testimonies, food and refreshments in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every step counts. Every action makes a difference.
