Built on the initiative of Cardinal Mercier, the Gothic-inspired church in Le Chenois was begun in 1913 and enlarged in 1938.
Constructed using white Plancenoit stone by local workers, it features beautiful modern stained-glass windows from Antwerp’s Joors workshops.
In 1987, the parish’s main concern was children’s education, provided since 1919 by the Annonciade Sisters, who have left Le Chenois with many memories and tangible evidence of their presence.
