Festival Danse en Fête – Concert « Alors, on danse »

  • To kick off the ‘Dance Festival!’ in Waterloo, the Cultural Center is pleased to present ‘So, Shall We Dance’ performed by the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia.

    The program brings together compositions inspired by dance:

    • Franz Schubert: Five German Dances, D. 90
    • Pyotr Tchaikovsky: Waltz, 2nd movement from Serenade op. 48
    • Nikos Skalkottas: Five Greek Dances
    • Astor Piazzolla:
      Oblivion, for violin and string orchestra with Jean-Frédéric Molard, violin
      Grand Tango, for violin and string orchestra
    • Sergei Aslamazyan: Three Armenian Songs
    • Béla Bartók: Six Romanian Dances with Red Gjeci, violin
