«Mini-expo» – Lucas Loop

WaterlooTourisme is proud to host the 4th edition of the Mini-Expo, this time highlighting Lucas Loop, a Belgian painter and grandson of the former « Hustinx Opticians ».

Graduated with a master’s degree in painting from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, Lucas Loop is an emerging artist who explores painting, installation and performance. His practice revolves around multiple representations of the body and the face. Through self-portraiture, he stages himself, uses the body as a means of expression, reshapes it and challenges the idea of a standardized being.

His works deconstruct the codes of the body and social image, dissolving the self and opening the way to continuous metamorphosis.
